Noni.

The spoken Finnish equivalent of "no niin."

It has many meanings and can be used in numerous situations—for good, bad, or just "so-so." This flexibility suits the Finnish nature and lifestyle well, which is defined by sharp contrasts: the dark, quiet seasons versus the bright, vibrant ones.

My photography focuses on this contrast. Due to Finland's high northern latitude, the landscape experiences periods of deep darkness and silence alongside times of intense brightness and activity. The portfolio is divided by this logic: the "Dark & Quiet" page showcases winter phenomena, while "Bright & Vibrant" features spring, summer, and autumn.
